Joy Lewis - Assistant Director of Child Care

Greetings Families,

As a 2008 December graduate of Lee, I majored in Early Childhood Education. Becoming a teacher has been a lifelong dream of mine as I have wanted to be a teacher since I was four. For as long as I can remember I have been around kids whether it be teaching Sunday school, babysitting, tutoring, summer camp work, classroom teaching in the U.S. and abroad. These are just some of the things I have done with children.

I began to work in the then PDO program in January of 2009 but in September of 2009, I officially joined Alicia assisting at ELC. Teaching preschool is so rewarding for me. It has become a passion for me and I cannot see myself doing anything else.

My goal is to instill a love for learning in all students at ELC and to jumpstart the students for Kindergarten. These factors are in mind and are placed at the very heart of the lessons that are planned for the children in all age groups at ELC.
